We're not linguists. We're not translation experts. We don't claim Helvetra translates better than DeepL, Google, or anyone else.

We're a small team in Switzerland who thought it would be fun to build a translation app using Swiss technology — and see where it goes.

Swiss-Made, AI-Powered

Helvetra is powered by Apertus, an AI model developed by ETHZ and EPFL, hosted by Infomaniak. Apertus wasn't built specifically for consumer translation — but we find it beautiful to use Swiss research for something practical and accessible.

Most of the content on this website and in the app was generated and translated by Apertus. Not by humans. We're learning as we go.

We Don't Control the Output

AI translates. We don't review every result. Translations may be imperfect, awkward, or wrong. That's the reality of working with AI.

If you spot something off — tell us. Your feedback makes Helvetra sharper.

Where the Money Goes

Revenue goes directly to Helvetra. No commission to Apertus, Infomaniak, or Payrexx — just their standard fees. We're independent.
